Murudeshwar Temple

Murudeshwar Temple is a famous Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in Murudeshwar, Uttara Kannada district, Karnataka, India. It is renowned for housing the world's second-tallest Shiva statue, standing at 123 feet, and its towering 20-story Raja Gopura (temple entrance tower). The Linga in the sanctum is believed to be a piece of the Atma-Linga thrown by Ravana, as per mythological tales associated with the Ramayana.
